Mission

The Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence works to improve the State's response to, and prevention of, domestic violence by providing support for local programs; offering policy advice and proposals at the state and local level; providing training and public education; and administering awareness activities.

Budget Highlights

The Executive Budget recommends $4.9 million for the Office. This is an increase of $220,000 from the prior year, and will support implementation of new responsibilities associated with recent legislation strengthening the State domestic violence laws.

The Executive Budget recommends a workforce of 27 FTEs for the Office, unchanged from 2012-13.
