Major Savings Initiatives
The Department is already in the process of implementing the following actions to achieve its savings target by:
Managing personal service vacancy levels, strictly adhering to the hiring freeze, establishing strict controls on all non-personal service spending and eliminating unnecessary contracts. Aging’s year-end position fill level is estimated to be 133 FTEs, a reduction of 8 from its initial target of 141.
