    • The State Office for the Aging’s current-year savings target is $294,000, reflecting the Governor’s order for a 10.35 percent reduction in projected agency spending. The Office is currently expected to achieve its entire $294,000 million spending reduction target.
  2. Major Savings Initiatives
    • The Department is already in the process of implementing the following actions to achieve its savings target by:
    • Managing personal service vacancy levels, strictly adhering to the hiring freeze, establishing strict controls on all non-personal service spending and eliminating unnecessary contracts. Aging’s year-end position fill level is estimated to be 133 FTEs, a reduction of 8 from its initial target of 141.
