The State Board of Elections’ (SBOE) current-year savings target is $935,000, reflecting the governor’s order for a 10.35 percent reduction in projected agency spending. SBOE is currently expected to achieve its entire $935,000 spending reduction target.
Major Savings Initiatives
The State Board of Elections is already in the process of implementing the following actions to achieve their savings target:
Holding positions vacant.
Assuming responsibility for computer help desk services previously scheduled to be contracted out.
Postponing a planned expansion and renovation of space which would have been necessary had the staff expanded as originally planned.
