  2. Major Savings Initiatives
    • NYSTAR is implementing the following actions to achieve their savings target:
    • Maintain current workforce level of 26 of the 30 FTEs authorized to comply with hiring freeze ($234,000).
    • Reduce contractual services, supplies and travel expenses ($181,000).
