  1. Spending Reduction Target
    • The Lake George Park Commission’s (LGPC) current-year savings target is $89,000, reflecting the Governor’s order for a 10.35 percent reduction in projected agency spending.
    • Savings of $31,000 will be achieved by the agency. Given the relatively small size of the Lake George Park Commission, additional reductions would require layoffs of up to two staff positions, compromising the agency’s ability to achieve its mission. They will continue, however, to work toward implementing additional savings actions to achieve a portion of their remaining target in a manner that does not compromise their core mission.
  2. Major Savings Initiatives
    • LGPC has already implemented the following actions to achieve savings.
    • Reductions in Travel Expenditures. ($7,000).
    • Deferred Equipment Purchases. ($5,000)
    • Staffing levels reduced through attrition. ($19,000)
