  1. Spending Reduction Target
    • DMV’s current-year savings target is $28.8 million, reflecting the governor’s order for a 10.35 percent reduction in projected agency spending and an additional savings of $2.3 million from the Dedicated Highway Bridge & Trust Fund.
    • DMV is expected to achieve $26.5 million of its $28.8 million spending reduction target. The balance of the spending reduction is being held in abeyance pending determination of revenue collection impacts.
  2. Major Savings Initiatives
    • DMV is already in the process of implementing the following actions to achieve their savings target.
    • Reduction in spending on IT ($4 million)
    • Savings on Contractual obligations ($3.6 million)
    • Reduction in Personal Service from hiring freeze and other actions ($3 million)
    • Reduced spending on consultants ($1.6 million)
