The Crime Victims Board’s (CVB) current-year savings target is $556,000, reflecting the Governor’s order for a 10.35 percent reduction in projected agency spending. CVB is expected to achieve its entire $556,000 spending reduction target.
Major Savings Initiatives
CVB is already in the process of implementing the following actions to achieve their savings target.
Elimination of five vacant positions, resulting in savings $210,000.
Implementing controls on hiring and overtime, resulting in savings of approximately $210,000.
Reducing travel, courier and printing services, generating savings of $91,000.
Shifting existing General Fund spending, including a portion of rent and office supplies to federal funds, resulting in $45,000 in savings.
