The Consumer Protection Board’s (CPB) current-year savings target is $378,000, reflecting the Governor’s order for a 10.35 percent reduction in projected agency spending. CPB is currently expected to achieve its entire $378,000 spending reduction target.
Major Savings Initiatives
The Consumer Protection Board is already in the process of implementing the following actions to achieve their savings target:
Elimination of one vacant funded position.
Implementation of various management efficiencies including reductions in travel.
Indefinite delay of the establishment of the Office of Airline Passenger Consumer Rights reflecting a recent Federal Court decision.
