Major Savings Initiatives
The Department is implementing the following actions to achieve its savings target:
As attrition occurs, only the most critical positions are being filled;
Spending for technology acquisitions, office equipment and supplies, conferences, training, and contractual services is restricted to only that which is essential to delivery of its mission; and
Advertising of products under the Pride of New York Program has been severely curtailed.
